Eric Sundström works as a Research fellow and Communication strategist at LO, the Swedish Trade Union Confederation. He is also a columnist and lecturer, both in Sweden and internationally.

Sundström previously served as Political Advisor to the Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs Mrs Margot Wallström, and as Speechwriter to Prime Minister Mr Stefan Löfven.

His professional background is found in the intersection where social democracy and international politics meet journalism and communication. He has been Editor-in-chief of progressive newspapers and magazines produced both in Stockholm and Berlin; and worked with think-tanks in Washington DC and Brussels.

Mr Sundström pursued his studies at universities in Stockholm, Glasgow and Montpellier; and holds an MA from Johns Hopkins University SAIS (Bologna/Washington DC). He has served as president of Social Democratic Students of Sweden, and as a bureau member of Young European Socialists.
